Can you paint Stucco?

Stucco should never be painted using any paint from a general store, only the manufacturer of the stucco product installed on your home has a specialized Fog or allegro coat that should be applied by a professional.

Can stucco cracks be sealed?

Stucco cracks should never be sealed with caulking but instead with cement filler and stucco color to match existing if possible break the area around the crack for a better match. sealing with caulking will trap dirt pest and cause peeling

Can stucco be placed over Siding?

Yes stucco can be placed over brick , cedar, and lap siding. although it is not recommended over lap siding or cedar since it causes the brown coat to dry differently and can cause waves. not giving you that nice crispy clean look you are looking for.

Is stucco waterproof??

Stucco is not water proof the lathe behind the stucco installed prior to the brown coat is the waterproofing. You can add additives to make your stucco more water resistant but it is not 100% water proof. Although stucco around windows should be 100% water proof if jiffy seal is installed correctly.
